I believe that coaching nutrition, health, and fitness is about understanding how these elements fit together to create a lifestyle as opposed to being separate entities. Our nutrition and fitness determine our health, our physical health influences our mental health, our mental health influences our nutrition and fitness. It’s all an intricate interworking circle, and when I can help someone understand how all aspects of their life fit into creating a fundamentally healthier and happier life, that’s what is most important to me.
I focus much of my personal time on my own fitness goal of making it to the CrossFit Games as an individual. In 2017 I missed the Games by just one place, and in 2018 I sat the season out with a torn rotator cuff. When I’m not exercising, I like to unwind by watching baking shows (The Great British Baking Show is the best thing on television), reading, and spending time with my family and my English Bulldog, Luna.
